Surgi-Gel Plus is a viscous, water-based, sterile adhering gel. An excellent lubricating jelly for catheterisation and continence needs we have found it is great for use on catheters.
Recommended for specific surgical and gynaecological lubrication when increased adherence is needed.
Surgi-Gel Plus is a sterile, greaseless, transparent, water-based, non-staining, non-irritating lubricating gel that comes in easy-opening sachets.
Surgi-Gel Plus should be stored in a cool dry place out of direct sunlight.
Each box of Surgi-Gel Plus contains 144 x 3ml sachets of lubricant, perfect for single-use catheter application.

By: Halina Daws on 20 March 2024I have recently changed from using Optilube 113g tubes to single use sachets to avoid infections when using intermittent catheters. I have found the Surgi-Gel sachets of good quality and easy to use also a great price. When you are not NDIS funded....this process is quite expensive.

By: Greg Smith on 19 January 2024Surgi-Gel Plus is an excellent lubricant but not as good as Opti Lube. The two have the same quality gel but the Opti Lube sachet is easier to use.

By: Peter Davidson on 4 December 2023I have been using optilube for years , recently I received Surgi- gel in my order the difference is significant. I use an 18 gauge catheter daily. If l had the option I would only use Surgi-gel thanks for asking my opinion.

Sachets were very difficult to open and therefore

I found the sachets almost impossible to open by tearing them (and I didn't want to use scissors as the product needs to be kept sterile). I was so relieved to find that Paralogic are still stocking the Optilube sachets. They are by far my preferred option!

Surgi-gel plus review
By: Scott Goodwin on 20 October 2023I have changed to a different lubricant as the surgi-gel lube is very watery doesn't adhere well to the catheter and makes the catheter difficult to insert. It has been causing me problems on and off for some time now..
